9, 2005 Brief Summary: States General Life Insurance Company (“States General”) wrote almost exclusively health insurance and Medicare Supplement policies. To date, three major medical policies and four dental policies owned to Nebraska residents have been identified. The Order of Liquidation was entered on March 9, 2005. The commissioner of Insurance for the State of Texas has been appointed Permanent Receiver. A
Third Party Administration Agreement (TPA Agreement) has been entered into
with Administrative Insurance Management Services, Inc. (“AIMS”) to
administer the major medical policies.
AIMS will administer all policies and process all claims. AIMS
will provide funding information to the Nebraska Guaranty Association,
which will fund the Nebraska claims to AIMS directly pursuant to statutory
coverage limits. The dental
policies are not covered by this TPA Agreement and will be dealt with
